What we read from OAuth

ProviderWhat we getWhat we store
GoogleEmail, sub (Google user ID)Email only
GitHubPrimary verified email, GitHub user IDEmail only
We don’t pull display names, avatars, public repos, friend lists, or anything else. The OAuth scope is email and that’s it.

After sign-up

You’ll see the welcome screen for ~1.8 seconds:
✓ Account ready Welcome, your name from email. Your GPU Outlet account is live. Taking you to the dashboard in a moment…
Then auto-redirect to Create instance. You can skip the welcome with the button if you’re in a hurry. It shows exactly once — refresh-proof.

Common signup issues

Check spam folder first. If still missing after 2 minutes, the Resend code button in the dashboard is rate-limited to one per 30 seconds. If Resend fails too, your email host might be blocking — try a different address or hop to Google / GitHub OAuth.
We’re a small team and Google’s verification cycle runs slow. Click Advanced → Go to GPU Outlet to proceed. We only read your email.
Usually a stale GitHub session. Open github.com/settings/applications, revoke “GPU Outlet”, retry the sign-in.
Use the same email address for both. We dedupe by email, so signing in with Google later (using alice@example.com) merges into the existing alice@example.com account.

What’s NOT there yet

  • Phone-based 2FA — coming. For now your account is protected by email-code (or OAuth) only.
  • Passkeys — coming.
  • Teams / shared accounts — see Teams.
If you have a strong opinion on any of these, help@gpuoutlet.ai — feedback shapes the roadmap.
